The Oomph! Coffee name was originally used for one of our blends. We were looking for a name to describe a full flavored blend and Oomph! was the name that came up. This particular blend became our most popular, and so the name stayed with us.
The name Oomph! is now the main brand name of our coffee roasting business.
Oomph! is a great name and has become known for exceptionally high quality specialty coffee, and for intense training structures to help coffee serving premises become espresso industry leaders in their own particular location. NIKKI ...

AASCA Barista Judge ( Nikki recently judged the Perth. W.A. barista championships), Quality Control, Customer Liason,Cupping Analysis, Nikki's warmth and friendliness is appreciated by our customers all around. Nikki also loves engaging in her hobbies. Motorcyles, fishing, cooking and eating, and hanging out with Carlo. Nikki is about to start her scuba diving certification, and is hoping to dive for crayfish off Tasmania's magnificent coastline. Nikki owns a Kawasaki Zephyr road bike, and is hoping for her own Harley in the near future. She is a proud supporter of Australian Rugby Union.

AZZA

Business consultant, competition barista, barista trainer.
Tasmanian Barista Champion 2008.
Ranked 7th in Australia , AASCA.

Azz is involved in the growth strategies of Oomph! Also known as 'Moose', Azz studies business at university, and is also a Grade 6 barista in the Oomph! System. Azz is the Oomph! representative in National Barista competitions. Aaron was the youngest AASCA competitor ever and came 6th overall out of all of Victoria, and Tasmania at the tender age of 16 years old.
He is the 2008 Tasmanian Barista Champion.
Azz has trained under Carlos and also World Latte Art Champion and Australian Barista Champion, Scotty Callaghan.

Aaron is an avid fan of Rugby Union, and has played rugby at a senior level. He has also represented Tasmania at a state level, captained Taroona rugby side for 2 years, and has played in two premierships, winning one of them.

ALEX

Alex is a grade 5 barista. Alex works in team with Nikki to produce barista training systems, and the new Oomph! franchise turnkey operations manual. Alex loves fishing, keeping fit, animals, and arguing about the origin of species with Carlos.

Favourite food: Scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, and chocolate..
Actually Alex says she just loves food.
Favourite car? Mini Van.
Favourite bike? Harley.

Fave coffee? Romeo, as a long black, with a dash of milk. And, as an espresso.
Also, Organica is a fave in milk.

DAINO

Dain is a grade 5 barista in the Oomph! Coffee System, and has a great deal to do with systems analysis, so moved over from Melbourne to join and work in the Oomph! Coffee team taking part in market growth amongst other things. Daino is a coffee crazed hyper-active part of Oomph! and loves Aussie rules, is fishing mad, and enjoys cooking up a great curry.
Dain is managing our Hobart outlet, and keeps an eye on the quality control.

Dain is currently ranked 3 rd in Tasmania via AASCA champiuonships.

SAMMY

A big fan of the language of 'Pingu', and can speak it fluently.

Sammy is a much loved, solid member of the team who is usually slogging it out on the takeaway coffees.
Has the skills to cut it, a grade 5 barista, and was ranked 2008 AASCA barista comps as 2nd in Tassie.
Is being groomed to take on his own site.
Pulls a mean rosetta and has a solid fan base.
Fave car: Lexus Soarer
Fave colour: Blue
Fave coffee: Guatemalan Antigua
Fave sport: Penguin skittles, and clothes hunting in surf shops.
Fave hair: His own. ( very low maintenance)
